The template includes two sheets designed for residential and light commercial estimating:
- Estimate — line items with description, quantity, unit, material cost, labor cost, and extended totals with markup
- Summary — project info fields, category subtotals, markup/overhead line, and grand total
Pre-built formulas calculate extended costs and roll up category totals automatically. Just fill in your quantities and unit costs.
How to Use It
- Download the .xlsx file and open it in Excel or Google Sheets
- Enter your project name and client info on the Summary sheet
- Add line items on the Estimate sheet — description, quantity, unit, material and labor rates
- Review the automatic subtotals and adjust markup on the Summary sheet
- Save a copy for each project — duplicate the file rather than overwriting
Tired of fixing broken formulas?
